Our conductor Peter Le Tissier started with us in 2024- he is an exciting conductor with experience working with orchestras across the country. He studied at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he achieved both a BMus (Hons), and an MMus (Performance). Having studied both privately and on international masterclasses with tutors such as Neil Ferris, Colin Metters and Rebecca Miller, Peter has gone on to hold posts as both Guest Conductor and Musical Director of a wide variety of ensembles, from contemporary chamber groups to large-scale symphony orchestras. More information about Peter’s work can be found here on his website.
Leader
Our leader (and also assistant conductor) is Raymond Hon. Originally from Hong Kong, he is an outstanding violinist and a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has considerable teaching and conducting experience and plays both violin and viola to a professional level. He studied violin with the former leader of the HK Sinfonietta, Wai Min Yong, and – amongst many other things – has performed as part of a trio in the Musikverein, Vienna.
